What it is

Whether you've hit a pothole on the Major Deegan, picked up a nail in a parking lot, or had a slow leak finally finish overnight, we'll get you moving. If your spare is good, we'll swap it in about 15 minutes. If your spare is damaged, missing, or you've got a temporary donut that won't make a long trip, we can plug a slow leak or tow you to a tire shop nearby.

We carry professional tire-change equipment, including hydraulic jacks safe for low-clearance vehicles. We don't skip the lug-nut torque check — under-torqued lugs are how wheels come loose at highway speed. Bronx and NYC roads are tough on tires; we see this call type every day.

What to do right now

What to do when you get a flat tire

Safe steps for handling a flat — especially on a highway.

  1. Get off the road

Pull to a flat, level shoulder or parking lot. Never change a tire in a live traffic lane. If the only option is the shoulder, get as far right as possible.

  2. Hazards on, brake set

Turn on hazards immediately. Set the parking brake. Move passengers out of the vehicle on the side away from traffic.

  3. Check your spare

Confirm you have a spare in usable condition (not flat or expired) plus the jack and lug wrench. If you have a temporary donut, it's not safe above ~50 mph and won't make a long trip.

  4. Call (646) 792-9092

Even if you have a spare, a pro change avoids the under-torqued-lug failure mode. Share your exact location, vehicle, and whether the tire is fully flat or losing air slowly.

Common questions

About tire changes.

  • What if I don't have a spare tire?

We can plug a small puncture (nail-size, sidewall undamaged) to get you moving, or tow you to the nearest open tire shop. Many newer cars ship without a spare — this is a common call.

  • Do you torque the lug nuts properly?

Yes. We torque every lug to manufacturer spec — under-torqued lugs are how wheels come loose at highway speed. This is a step many roadside services skip.

  • Can you change a tire on the highway?

For your safety we may move the vehicle off the shoulder to a safer location before swapping. On a live shoulder we work with hazards and cones, but a parking lot or service road is always preferable.
